Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif issued a stern warning on Friday, asserting that there would be absolutely no compromise on the defence of the country and that any aggression would be countered with a resolute and fitting response.
In a formal statement, the prime minister affirmed that both the populace and the nation”s military are perpetually prepared to safeguard Pakistan”s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
He emphasised the commitment of Pakistan”s Armed Forces to thwarting any manner of threat to national peace and security, stating they possess the full capability to defeat any hostile intentions.
Mr Sharif highlighted that the military, under the guidance of the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, is executing its responsibilities with immense national spirit.
The prime minister noted that the armed forces are endowed with expert capabilities, superior training, and an effective defensive strategy, making them fully proficient in managing any internal or external challenges.
While making it clear that Pakistan has consistently championed peace, the prime minister declared that the country”s integrity is non-negotiable. He concluded by stating that the military would firmly confront any belligerence, adding that the entire nation stands in solidarity with its armed forces.
