OIC Convenes Emergency Session to Address Israeli West Bank Expansion

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) today convened an extraordinary ministerial session to deliberate on recent Israeli measures aimed at expanding settlements and asserting control over the Occupied West Bank.

Representing Pakistan at the high-level gathering is Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, who has arrived at the OIC Secretariat in Jeddah to participate in the discussions.

The emergency meeting of the OIC Executive Committee was called specifically to address what the organisation terms as illegal actions intended to impose alleged Israeli sovereignty over the Palestinian territory.

Upon his arrival for the crucial session, Senator Dar was formally received by the OIC’s Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and Al-Quds Affairs, Samir Bakr, alongside Pakistan”s Permanent Representative to the OIC.
