Government Debunks Fabricated Notice of Pakistani Port Closures

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB) today emphatically refuted a spurious notification spreading across social media that claimed all Pakistani ports were being temporarily closed, branding the document as entirely fake.

The MoIB’s official Fact Checker unit addressed the disinformation, which alleged that the Cabinet Division had ordered an immediate but temporary suspension of all port entries in Pakistan. The fabricated notice cited the national security situation as the reason for the supposed shutdown, which was to last until Tuesday.

In a clear statement, the government fact-checking body confirmed the document is a fabrication. It clarified that no such directive has been issued by either the Cabinet Division or the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, and that port operations continue as normal.
