Special security provisions have been put in place for masjids and imambargahs throughout the district for the holy month of Ramadan, according to DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq.
According to a statement today, the announcement followed a citywide assessment of security measures conducted by the Deputy Inspector General, who was accompanied by SSP Operation Qazi Ali Raza. The senior officers visited various areas to review the existing safety arrangements.
During their tour, they met with Islamabad Police personnel deployed on duty and emphasised the critical importance of ensuring public safety. Officers and staff performing their duties at security points were also commended for their dedication.
Mr Tariq stated that Islamabad police officers are constantly working to protect the lives and property of the public.
He affirmed that all available resources are being utilised to maintain law and order in the federal capital, adding that no elements will be allowed to disrupt the peace of the citizens.
