Authorities have successfully dismantled a notorious criminal gang, apprehending four wanted members implicated in numerous snatching incidents and motorcycle thefts throughout the city.
Accoring to a report today, the Islamabad Police Tarnol team utilised a combination of technical and human resources to track and detain the suspects. During the operation, police officials also seized stolen cash and mobile phones from the individuals” possession.
Official records confirm that cases were already registered against the nabbed suspects, and a more thorough investigation is currently underway to ascertain the full extent of their activities.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq commented that robust operations are being carried out against individuals involved in street robbery and vehicle theft. He affirmed that these efforts have led to a significant decline in such criminal incidents within the federal capital.
The DIG directed all officers to continue the intensive campaign against criminal elements and to ensure that all perpetrators are brought to justice.
He also issued an appeal for public vigilance, encouraging residents to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious activity or objects to their nearest station or the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline.
