Federal Minister for Energy, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari announced today in a statement that the federal government is rapidly moving forward on a broad reform agenda which also includes the privatization of state-owned enterprises.
The minister also reiterated the administration’s commitment to advance the use of solar energy across the country.
In his remarks, Leghari emphasized that along with promoting renewable energy, measures will also be taken that protect the interests of consumers not using solar energy.
This initiative in the energy sector is part of broader structural changes being rapidly developed by the government, in which the transfer of state-owned enterprises to private ownership is a key component of the economic strategy.
