Firing near a private hospital on Kadhan Road in Badin, 2 people seriously injured

Two people, including a young man, were seriously injured in a violent clash near a private hospital on Kadhan Road, prompting a strong protest from the local community who accused the hospital owner of instigating the attack and creating an atmosphere of fear.

According to details from the scene, armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire in the vicinity of the hospital on Monday, seriously injuring 40-year-old Saddam Bhatti and 13-year-old Sameer Bhatti. Both victims were rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

Members of the Bhatti community staged a strong demonstration in front of the Badin Press Club over the firing incident. The group, led by Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, Rafique Bhatti, Nek Muhammad Bhatti, and Muhammad Ramzan Bhatti, protested against police inaction against the hospital owner and other suspects involved in the incident.

The protesters claimed that the armed men were spreading terror in the surrounding neighborhoods and trying to establish a “goonda raj”.
