A woman lost her life in a traffic accident and a young boy committed suicide over alleged domestic troubles in Naushahro Feroze on Wednesday.
In the first incident, a woman named Mukhtiaran Chandio was killed after being hit by a Datsun vehicle within the limits of Kot Lalu police station. Authorities said she was standing at the Muhammad Shah stop on the Mehran Highway at the time of the collision. She had come to visit relatives for Eid greetings.
In a second and unrelated case, 15-year-old Fahad Khushk took his own life in the village of Shah Nawaz Khushk. According to officials at the Muhabbat Dero police station, it is believed the young man consumed poison kept at his home, reportedly disheartened by family disputes.
Police officials confirmed that the body of the deceased youth was handed over to his family after necessary legal proceedings. Authorities have launched investigations into the circumstances of both deaths.
