Pakistan, Jordan Issue Urgent Call for De-escalation Amid Regional Tensions

In a significant diplomatic exchange regarding the prevailing regional situation, Pakistan and Jordan have jointly underscored the critical necessity for immediate de-escalation. The call for calm came during a telephone discussion between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi.

During the conversation, Mr Dar reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to backing any initiatives aimed at fostering peace and stability throughout the region, according to an official report today.

The two senior diplomats discussed the tense atmosphere and concurred on the urgent requirement to reduce hostilities.

Both leaders also reached an understanding to maintain close communication as the situation continues to unfold, agreeing to remain in contact on future developments.
