In a significant diplomatic development aimed at de-escalating rising tensions in the region, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Egypt are arriving in Pakistan on a crucial two-day visit starting tomorrow.
The Foreign Office confirmed in a statement today that the high-level delegation, comprising Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Turkiye’s Hakan Fidan, and Egypt’s Dr. Badr Abdelatty, is undertaking the visit at the special invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
The central focus of these consultations will be a comprehensive discussion on strategies to de-escalate the current volatile situation in the region, while other related matters will also be considered.
The schedule for the distinguished guests’ visit also includes a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Officials have reiterated that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with all three countries. This diplomatic activity is expected to serve as a platform to promote cooperation and strengthen partnerships across a wide range of shared interests.
