Taking notice of the brutal murder of a woman in Tando Masti area of Khairpur, Provincial Minister Shahina Sher Ali has demanded a detailed report from DIG Sukkur.
Expressing deep concern over the incident today, the Provincial Minister termed the murder “extremely regrettable and condemnable.” She also highlighted the “deplorable” role of local residents who remained “silent spectators” during this tragic incident.
In response, Ms. Sher Ali has formally demanded a comprehensive report from DIG Sukkur regarding this murder. She explicitly instructed that “the culprits involved in this incident do not deserve any leniency; strict action should be taken.”
Emphasizing the provincial government’s commitment to women’s protection, the Minister reiterated the establishment of safe houses and Darul Amans (shelter homes) designed for the immediate protection of vulnerable women. She stressed, “Women who are victims of domestic and gender-based violence should not consider themselves alone.”
Furthermore, Ms. Sher Ali advised women that if they face any unpleasant situation, they should immediately contact the Sindh Women Development Department’s designated helpline number 1094 or its administrative office for help.
