Traffic Authorities Vow Crackdown on Encroachments, Seek Increased Workforce in Quetta

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Quetta, Mirza Bilal, today declared an extensive crackdown on encroachments and illegal parking within the city, following an open court session where he directly addressed public grievances and ordered immediate resolution of outstanding issues.

The “Kuli Kacheri,” a public forum designed for citizens” complaints and traffic concerns, was convened on Wednesday at the SSP Traffic”s office. During the gathering, the traffic chief engaged directly with residents, meticulously noting their complaints.

Mirza Bilal subsequently issued directives to relevant officers, emphasizing the swift resolution of the problems presented. He underscored that indiscriminate action would be taken against illegal structures and unauthorised vehicle placement to significantly enhance the urban traffic flow.

The SSP also highlighted the imperative of establishing a modern vehicular management system in Quetta, stating that practical measures are currently underway. To ensure more effective traffic regulation across the city, he appealed to the provincial administration for an increase in the traffic police workforce.

Concluding the session, the police official urged both residents and motorists to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and to foster a collaborative and respectful demeanour towards traffic personnel. He stressed that a disciplined and secure road network could only be achieved through mutual cooperation between the community and law enforcement agencies.
