Sindh Governor, Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, today emphasized the dangerous threat of malaria, stressing the need for immediate collective efforts to eradicate this perilous disease and detailing the government’s robust measures for its elimination.
On the occasion of World Malaria Day, the Governor highly prioritized the urgent need for public awareness and the adoption of preventive measures. He emphasized that the provincial administration is playing an active role against the disease, improving the provision of insecticide sprays, essential medicines, and enhanced medical facilities.
Governor Hashmi supported further accelerating the anti-malaria campaign in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). He termed strict cleanliness in streets and neighborhoods as a fundamental aspect of malaria eradication.
The Governor appealed to citizens to actively adopt personal protective measures, reiterating that prevention is better than cure. He affirmed the commitment to a tripartite partnership between the government, the public, and relevant organizations to work together for the elimination of malaria.
