The Meteorological Department has today forecast that mostly hot and dry weather is expected to continue in a large part of the country. This widespread dry spell is expected to affect daily life in various regions.
Contrary to the general outlook, in regions like Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, there is a possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms with rain and rain at some places.
Morning temperatures recorded in major cities indicated varied conditions. Islamabad and Muzaffarabad recorded 20 degrees Celsius, Lahore 22 degrees Celsius, and Karachi 28 degrees Celsius. Peshawar recorded 21 degrees Celsius, while Quetta recorded a cool 15 degrees Celsius, Gilgit 16 degrees Celsius, and the hill station of Murree 10 degrees Celsius.
On the other hand, in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather outlook predicts partially cloudy conditions. In several places, such as Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramulla, Jammu, and Leh, strong winds and thunderstorms with rain are possible.
Morning temperatures in these areas recorded 11 degrees Celsius in Srinagar and Shopian. Jammu recorded 22 degrees Celsius, while Leh recorded 0 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in Pulwama, Anantnag, and Baramulla recorded 12 degrees Celsius.
