Karachi Police encounter street criminals and drug dealers, 6 arrested, weapons and drugs including 2 hand grenades recovered

Law enforcement agencies in Karachi engaged in multiple encounters with suspected criminals on 2-May-2026, resulting in several arrests and the recovery of various weapons, including two hand grenades, during operations against drug dealers and robbers.

One significant incident occurred near Miran Shah Graveyard in Jehanabad, where police officers confronted suspected drug dealers. Following an exchange of fire, three individuals were apprehended; two of them were found injured. Authorities seized three pistols, bullets, and two dangerous hand grenades from the scene. This case falls under the jurisdiction of Pak Colony Police Station.

Separately, in Buffer Zone Sector A-16, an encounter took place between police and alleged robbers. During the exchange of fire, Muhammad Hussain, identified as a robber and son of Muhammad Siddique, was arrested after being injured. Officers recovered a pistol, bullets, and a motorcycle from his possession. Taimuria Police Station is handling the ongoing investigation.

In another incident, law enforcement personnel confronted drug dealers near Rehmaniya Mor in New Karachi D-12. Following an exchange of fire, two suspects were taken into custody. One of the arrested individuals, Sarfraz, son of Muhammad Sardar, was injured, while Muhammad Imran, son of Muhammad Rafiq, was also arrested. Police seized a pistol, bullets, and a motorcycle. New Karachi Industrial Area Police Station is conducting further investigations.

During all these operations, investigations are ongoing to gather further information for legal proceedings against the arrested individuals.
