In a major crackdown against corruption in the police force, thirteen law enforcement officials in Thatta were immediately dismissed from service after being found aiding illegal drug dealers. This strict action was initiated on the directives of SSP Thatta Sajid Amir Sadozai.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sajid Amir Sadozai confirmed today that a departmental inquiry, launched after receiving confidential information and evidence, definitively confirmed the officers’ complicity in assisting criminal elements involved in drug trafficking.
The dismissed personnel include Head Constables Dost Muhammad Jakhro, Ikramuddin Abro, and Ali Akbar Jakhro, along with Constables Abdul Sattar Khoso, Sohail Ahmed Mangi, Mir Hassan Samo, Pervez Hussain Khaskheli, Sher Muhammad Brohi, Ejaz Ali Brohi, Muhammad Iqbal Brohi, Raja Muhammad Akram Rajput, Faiz Muhammad Gabar, and Riaz Ali Umrani. All faced strict internal proceedings.
Upon the successful conclusion of the internal investigation, all thirteen individuals were immediately relieved of their duties. SSP Sadozai sternly stated that any form of corruption or patronage of criminals within the ranks of the police department would not be tolerated.
He further added that indiscriminate measures would continue to be taken to ensure the protection of public lives and property, thereby upholding the sanctity of the rule of law.
The Senior Superintendent also clarified that the internal accountability process would continue rigorously, and any officer found violating legal regulations would face severe legal action.
