Training Course Held on Procurement, Digital Transformation, and Sustainable Governance under NAB

Government officials have completed a two-day special training course in Islamabad aimed at significantly reducing corruption risks in public procurement through modern digital systems and promoting transparency and integrity in the public sector.

This initiative, held on Wednesday, aimed to foster a culture of accountability and ethical standards in government institutions, in line with the vision of the NAB Chairman. Director General of Pakistan Anti-Corruption, Ghulam Safdar Shah, inaugurated the program, emphasizing its role in promoting professionalism.

Four prominent experts from the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), including Managing Director Hasnat Ahmed Qureshi, Mr. Rizwan Mahmood, Dr. M. Participants received comprehensive instructions on submitting and digitally opening online tenders, learning how computerized systems can effectively reduce corruption risks. A key component of the training was “Green Public Procurement,” advocating for environmental considerations in government decisions.

Officers from various government departments participated, fostering inter-agency dialogue and exchange of experiences. Practical exercises ensured that participants could master the use of electronic procurement platforms.

In his concluding remarks, the Director General praised the high quality of the training and the dedication of the participants. He emphasized the importance of such educational programs for improving institutional performance and restoring public trust. Certificates were awarded to all participants upon completion of the training course.
