Atif Iqbal, Group CEO of High-Q Pharmaceuticals, was honored with the Made in Pakistan Global Impact Award during a prestigious ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat, Morocco. The award was presented by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Syed Adil Gilani.
This distinguished recognition was awarded to Atif Iqbal in acknowledgment of his outstanding leadership and remarkable contributions to the pharmaceutical sector. Under his visionary leadership, High-Q Pharmaceuticals has achieved significant success in improving healthcare standards, promoting innovation, and strengthening Pakistan’s positive image in the global pharmaceutical industry.
Atif Iqbal is also participating as a distinguished delegate in the Made in Pakistan Global Impact Summit Morocco 2026, being held from May 3 to May 8, 2026. Meanwhile, Group CEO of High-Q Pharmaceuticals Mr. Atif Iqbal met with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Syed Adil Gilani. Also present at the meeting were Mr. Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Honorary Consul General of Morocco in Pakistan, Mr. Rizwan Jaffar, Founder of the Made in Pakistan Corporate Club, along with other Pakistani industrialists.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding trade, investment, industrial cooperation, pharmaceuticals, medical sector collaboration, travel and tourism, construction, and the promotion of sports goods between Pakistan and Morocco.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Syed Adil Gilani briefed the delegation on Morocco’s economy, trade environment, and its strategic importance in North Africa. He stated that Morocco serves as a key trade gateway connecting Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, offering immense opportunities for Pakistani industrialists.
He further noted that the Moroccan government is offering special incentives to foreign investors, while sectors such as pharmaceuticals, textiles, sports goods, agricultural products, medical equipment, and food processing present broad prospects for Pakistani companies.
On the occasion, High-Q Pharma Group CEO Atif Iqbal stated that Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry is rapidly growing and that Pakistani medicines are being manufactured according to international standards. He emphasized that there is vast potential for cooperation with African countries, especially Morocco, in the pharmaceutical sector, and that Pakistani companies can play a significant role in the region by supplying high-quality and cost-effective medicines.
Atif Iqbal further stated that Pakistan enjoys a globally recognized position in the manufacturing of surgical and medical products, while Sialkot’s sports goods industry has earned worldwide recognition for its excellence. He added that the Moroccan market could prove highly suitable for Pakistani sports goods, surgical instruments, and medical devices.
Discussing medical tourism, he said that Pakistan possesses modern healthcare facilities and highly qualified doctors, which can help promote medical tourism and generate valuable foreign exchange for the country.
Mirza Ishtiaq Baig remarked that Pakistan and Morocco share historic and friendly relations, which should now be transformed into stronger economic ties. He stressed that exchanges between chambers of commerce, trade organizations, and investors from both countries could significantly enhance bilateral trade.
Founder of the Made in Pakistan Corporate Club, Rizwan Jaffar, stated that Pakistani brands and products are steadily establishing their presence globally, and there is a need to introduce the ‘Made in Pakistan’ brand more effectively at the international level. Later, the Pakistani delegation visited the Morocco Chamber of Commerce, where discussions were held on promoting bilateral trade relations.
Atif Iqbal highlighted that Pakistan is a large market of 250 million people. The Morocco Casablanca Chamber was also invited with business leaders to visit Pakistan to explore opportunities within this vast market. A proposal to launch direct flights between Pakistan and Morocco was also presented.
