Sindh gripped by severe heatwave, we will not abandon the public: Muslim League Functional :

Sindh is currently facing a severe heatwave, prompting the Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F) to announce widespread relief measures today and strongly criticize the provincial government’s alleged negligence. The party plans to establish numerous cold water stalls and heatstroke relief centers across the province, with over 100 special centers in Karachi alone.

According to Sardar Abdul Rahim, Secretary General of PML-F Sindh, daily wage earners, travelers, and the broader labor class are most vulnerable to the extreme temperatures. He emphasized that public service is the foundation of the party’s political agenda and reaffirmed their commitment to assist citizens during difficult times.

PML-F intends to set up cold water distribution points at key locations such as bus stops, markets, and major highways to provide immediate relief. Party members have been encouraged to establish relief centers in as many areas as possible to maximize outreach.

Sardar Abdul Rahim blamed the Sindh government for its “complete failure” to effectively tackle the ongoing heatwave. He highlighted inadequate arrangements for heatstroke prevention at hospitals and public places, claiming that citizens are suffering due to government apathy and neglect.

In addition to immediate aid, the party will also run an awareness campaign to educate residents about heatstroke prevention techniques. Sardar Abdul Rahim stressed that the protection of human lives should be the foremost responsibility of every political institution, reiterating PML-F’s solidarity with the public in challenging circumstances. Providing immediate relief during extreme heat is considered an urgent necessity.
