Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that today’s solemn ceremony is dedicated to the martyrs, veterans, and their noble mothers who raised heroes that did not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for the honor and dignity of the homeland.
He stated that ‘Marka-e-Haq – Bunyan-e-Marsoos’ is a shining chapter in Pakistan’s military history in which the Armed Forces demonstrated exceptional unity, courage, professionalism, and sacrifice, crushing the enemy’s malicious designs, according to a statement today.
He warned that if anyone in the future attempts aggression, conspiracy, or adventurism against Pakistan, it will be met with a far stronger, more resolute, and decisive response. He expressed these views while addressing a grand ceremony held at Sindh Governor House, Karachi, marking one year of ‘Marka-e-Haq – Bunyan-e-Marsoos.’
The event was attended by Corps Commander Karachi, Commander Karachi Pakistan Navy, Commander Coastal Area, DG Rangers Sind, President Air War College, IG Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho, Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan, Commissioner Karachi Hasan Naqvi, senior civil and military officials, consuls general of various countries, business community members, political and social figures, and dignitaries from the city.
Hashmi said that during last year’s regional tensions, the Pakistan Army, Air Force, and Navy demonstrated exemplary strategy and extraordinary bravery across land, air, and sea fronts. He said the Armed Forces made it clear to the world that Pakistan’s defence is invincible and the entire nation stands firmly with its military.
He paid tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and officers and soldiers of all three services for their courage, resolve, and coordinated strategy that exposed the enemy on the global stage.
Hashmi also appreciated the role of the Pakistani media in safeguarding national interests and countering propaganda, and lauded the services of Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar and DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem. Special documentaries and an ISPR national song honoring the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans were also screened and highly appreciated by the audience.
Former Governor Sindh Lieutenant General (R) Moinuddin Haider, Air Vice Marshal (R) Usid ur Rehman Usmani, Vice Admiral Owais Ahmed Bilgrami, and Senator Javed Jabbar also addressed the event, while Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and reaffirmed the commitment to national unity.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, shields were distributed among families of martyrs and veterans, and a cake was also cut to mark the completion of one year of ‘Marka-e-Haq – Bunyan-e-Marsoos.’
