Hot and dry weather expected in the country, rain, thunder, and strong winds forecasted in Kashmir and Pothohar

The country is experiencing a heatwave as the Meteorological Department has predicted hot and dry conditions in most areas today. Intense heat is expected in the plains of Sindh, eastern and southern Balochistan, as well as in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In contrast, some relief is predicted in Kashmir, northeastern and central Punjab, and some areas of Pothohar with rain, thunder, and strong winds.

The current temperature report from major cities presents a warm picture: Islamabad 23°C, both Lahore and Karachi 30°C, Peshawar and Muzaffarabad 24°C, Quetta a cool 19°C, Gilgit 16°C, and Murree a moderate 15°C.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against the expected intense heat in the coming days.
