Attack by robbers on Khairpur gas station, staff injured, 1.2 million rupees stolen

In a robbery early this morning, nine armed assailants targeted a gas station near the National Highway close to Khairpur, resulting in the theft of 1.2 million rupees and injuries to the staff.

The incident occurred at Khanpur Mor, where the attackers engaged in a violent confrontation with the station employees. The station’s guard, Ali Dar Junejo, was severely injured during the attack and was later transferred to Civil Hospital Khairpur for immediate medical assistance.

Despite the severity of the crime, the response from law enforcement agencies was notably slow, with police arriving at the scene six hours after the incident. This delay has sparked concern and criticism among local residents, highlighting issues in emergency response protocols.
