The Meteorological Department has forecasted today that hot and dry conditions will persist in most parts of the country. Especially the southern districts of Balochistan and upper Sindh will face intense heatwave.
This morning, temperatures in major cities reflect different weather conditions. Islamabad remained mildly warm with a recorded temperature of 21 degrees Celsius, while Lahore and Karachi had temperatures of 29 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius respectively.
Peshawar remained moderate at 24 degrees Celsius, while Quetta and Muzaffarabad had cool air with 20 degrees Celsius. In the northern regions, Gilgit and Murree remained cool with 14 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius respectively.
The continuous hot and dry weather conditions are particularly concerning for the southern regions where intense temperatures can affect daily life and agriculture. Authorities are advising residents of the affected areas to take necessary precautions to mitigate health risks related to the heat.
