According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department, generally hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while intense temperatures continue in southern districts.
The current weather conditions are characterized by recorded high temperatures in various major cities. The temperature in Karachi is notably hot at 30 degrees Celsius, while Lahore follows closely at around 29 degrees Celsius. Peshawar’s temperature is slightly cooler at 24 degrees Celsius, while Islamabad’s temperature is 21 degrees Celsius.
In contrast, moderate areas like Quetta and Gilgit recorded morning temperatures at 18 degrees Celsius. The hill station Murree is the coolest, where the temperature is 14 degrees Celsius, providing some relief from the heat.
These conditions are forecasted to persist, with little likelihood of significant changes in the weather patterns. Intense heat is expected to continue unabated in southern districts, raising concerns about the impact on daily life and activities.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of the heat. It is recommended to use an adequate amount of water and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest parts of the day to ensure health safety during this intense weather.
