The Chief Organizer of Pasbani Democratic Party Karachi, Tariq Chandiwala, in a bold statement today, proposed the implementation of a one-party system in Pakistan, stating that such a move could accelerate national development and address governance challenges.
Chandiwala criticized the current political scenario, claiming that democracy in Pakistan has not consistently flourished. He expressed concern over the recent electoral success of the People’s Party in Gilgit-Baltistan, as he believes there is a lack of effective governance in Sindh. He claimed that political dynamics are taking the country backward and advocated for a new system incorporating proportional representation to better reflect the will of the people.
He further alleged that the current political class is more interested in benefiting themselves rather than grassroots development. Chandiwala lamented corruption and the plundering of resources, which he believes hinder Pakistan’s development. He emphasized the need to transfer powers to the divisional level to promote genuine development.
Chandiwala also criticized the feudal influence on rural voters, suggesting that electoral transparency is being compromised, resulting in economic stagnation. He proposed a presidential system within a one-party framework to protect citizens’ rights and improve governance outcomes.
In a statement issued by the Pasbani Press Information Cell, Chandiwala’s vision for political reform was expressed, aiming to enhance Pakistan’s developmental potential by ensuring competent leadership and reducing political corruption.
