Pakistan Customs has delivered an exceptional revenue collection performance for June 2026, recording a historic high of Rs467 billion in total taxes on imports. This represents a significant 33% increase compared with the Rs350.3 billion collected during the same month last year.
According to an official report today, the achievement reflects the leadership of FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial, along with the dedication and professionalism of Pakistan Customs officers nationwide under the leadership of Member Customs Syed Shakeel Shah. Their intelligence-driven operations, sustained anti-smuggling campaigns, and heightened vigilance at customs borders and ports across the country have continued to safeguard national revenue and strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
Performance Highlights for June 2026:
Pakistan Customs collected Rs467 billion in total taxes on imports, marking a significant 33% increase over the Rs350.3 billion collected in the corresponding month last year.
Customs duty collection reached Rs158 billion, reflecting a robust 24% growth compared with Rs127 billion collected in June 2025.
Despite tariff rationalisation, Pakistan Customs exceeded its highest-ever monthly customs duty target of Rs144 billion, achieving 110% of the target by collecting Rs158 billion.
Annual Performance (Fiscal Year 2025-26):
Total taxes on imports for the fiscal year reached Rs4,692 billion, an increase of 13.6% from Rs4,131 billion recorded in the previous fiscal year.
Customs duty collections totalled Rs1,331 billion, reflecting a 4% year-on-year increase and achieving 99% of the annual target.
Collections under the Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) on imports rose by 20% to Rs752 billion, compared with Rs628 billion in the previous year.
FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial said that surpassing the monthly revenue target by a significant margin reflected the department’s commitment to facilitating trade while ensuring optimal revenue collection for the national exchequer.
Member Customs Operations Syed Shakeel Shah said the outstanding performance demonstrated the efficiency, transparency, and digital transformation initiatives undertaken by Pakistan Customs.
