Following the inauguration, the mayor inspected various sections of the Community Center and reviewed the facilities being provided. Addressing the gathering, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that, in the past, citizens had not had adequate facilities for holding social events, educational programmes, and other community activities. He emphasized that such public facilities were essential for building a healthy, civilized, and cohesive society where people could actively participate in social, cultural, and community activities. He assured the audience that more projects of this nature would soon be launched in different parts of the city. On the occasion, the Mayor directed the Director General, Technical Services, KMC, to prepare a comprehensive plan, along with practical proposals, for the establishment of additional Community Centers across the city.

He instructed that future planning should take into account population size, local requirements, and the availability of government land so that the maximum number of citizens could benefit from these facilities. He further said that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation would continue to accelerate its public service initiatives while giving special attention to social welfare alongside development projects. Mr Wahab reiterated the Corporation’s commitment to providing quality civic amenities, improving recreational and social infrastructure, and utilizing all available resources to ensure the sustainable resolution of public issues.
