TLP Stages Protest in Quetta, Demands Action Against TV Channel

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), Quetta Division, on Friday staged a protest demonstration against the private television channel Geo News over what it alleged was the broadcast of sketches depicting the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Addressing the demonstration, the speakers said that the honour and dignity of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were above everything else for Muslims and that they would not tolerate any act they considered disrespectful. They alleged that the channel had hurt the sentiments of millions of Muslims and claimed the alleged broadcast had sparked widespread public protests.

The speakers demanded a permanent ban on the channel and called for those allegedly responsible for preparing, approving, and broadcasting the content to be identified publicly and held accountable. They also urged the government to take immediate legal action against the channel and the individuals they alleged were involved.

The protest demonstration was addressed by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Quetta Division leader Haji Zareef Rizwi and other speakers.
