Secretary Saira Vists Social Welfare Complex Sialkot

Punjab Secretary for Social Welfare Saira Omar, accompanied by Gujranwala Division Director Social Welfare Irshad Waheed, visited Dar-ul-Aman, the Model Children Home, and various sections of the Social Welfare Complex in Sialkot.

According to an official information today, Deputy Director Social Welfare Sialkot, Sharif Ghumman, was also present and gave a detailed briefing on the performance of the Social Welfare Complex, ongoing welfare projects, and the facilities being provided to deserving beneficiaries.

The Secretary also reviewed handmade handicrafts, decorative items, and other creative products prepared by girls undergoing vocational training at the complex. She appreciated their skills and directed the authorities to further strengthen such training programmes to promote vocational development.

Expressing satisfaction with the facilities being provided at the institutions, Punjab Secretary for Social Welfare Saira Omar said that the welfare of vulnerable and underprivileged segments of society remains one of the government’s top priorities.

At the conclusion of the visit, she planted a sapling as part of the tree plantation campaign and stressed the need to plant more trees to help protect the environment.
