A major arrest has been made in Okara today as a result of a significant operation against a group making fake bottled water and juices.
On the instructions of DG Food Authority Syed Musa Raza, a decisive raid was conducted on a beverage factory near Chamra Mandi. Authorities confiscated 4,500 liters of fake juice and bottled water, along with 500 empty bottles. Furthermore, 1,300 liters of dangerous juice was disposed of on the spot, an FIR was filed against the plant owner, and production activities were immediately halted.
In the illegal operation, beverages were being packed under well-known brand names. Substandard juice was removed from the containers and disposed of ensuring public safety. During the operation, a large quantity of water bottles, juice, and empty containers were seized.
The DG Food Authority reiterated the commitment to eradicate operations posing threats to public health. No leniency will be given to individuals endangering the community’s welfare.
