In a dramatic turn of events, a police encounter in Thatta today resulted in the arrest of notorious criminals involved in a series of robberies and snatching incidents. As a result of this operation, two suspects were arrested in injured condition, while a third managed to escape.
This incident occurred within the limits of Dabiji Police Station, where Zaheer Ansari and his associates, Muhammad Sabir Shaikh and Danish Rajput, fell victim to an armed robbery. Waving weapons, the attackers stopped the trio near Bilal Nagar Dabiji, snatched a 125 motorcycle, a high-quality mobile phone, and 1500 rupees cash, and fled.
Upon receiving the distress call, local law enforcement agencies promptly mobilized and established a checkpoint near the Gharo Zabit University Filter Plant. When confronted, the suspects resorted to gunfire, prompting police forces to retaliate. In this exchange, two individuals were apprehended, identified as Mujahid, son of Sabir Lashari, and Abdul Ghani, son of Muhammad Siddiq Birkiani, both injured.
Initial investigations have revealed that the arrested suspects have a criminal record, including multiple incidents of theft and motorcycle snatching in the areas of Dabiji and Gharo.
