HEC Trains Editors, Researchers on Research Journals Policy

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) organised an orientation session on the HEC Research Journals Policy for editors, researchers, and faculty members from higher education institutions across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the HEC Regional Centre Peshawar.

According to HEC information today, the session was commenced with an overview of the HEC Research Journals Policy, including journal recognition criteria, evaluation mechanisms, quality benchmarks, and best practices in academic publishing.

The orientation session emphasised the significance of editorial transparency, peer-review standards, publication ethics, plagiarism control, and indexing requirements for improving the quality and impact of research journals.

The resource persons briefed the participants on recent developments in HEC’s journal evaluation framework and shared practical recommendations for enhancing journal performance and visibility.
