Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui emphasized the importance of maintaining responsible political dialogue within democracy. He said today that while political parties have the right to hold different viewpoints, the dignity and respect of the state, the protection of this narrative is our collective responsibility, and differences should remain within prescribed limits.
Siddiqui highlighted the intrinsic value of procedural and ideological differences as a symbol of the democratic system. However, he stressed that any narrative should be in accordance with national interests and should not affect the country’s integrity on a global level.
The political leader further warned that providing an opportunity for enemy media to exploit, which can damage the nation’s credibility on a global scale, should be avoided. He expressed hope that Maulana Fazlur Rahman will soon clarify his previous statements, maintaining public trust.
Reflecting on the past year’s achievements, Siddiqui credited Pakistan’s armed forces with the nation’s remarkable achievements and regional leadership. He appealed to all citizens to collectively maintain the state’s dignity and narrative, emphasizing the shared responsibility to protect national honor.
