Two separate clashes took place today between law enforcement agencies and armed individuals in different areas of Karachi, resulting in one officer being injured and one suspect being arrested.
The first incident occurred near Hill Park, close to PECHS Block 7/8, where an exchange of fire took place between police officers and a group of robbers. After the exchange of fire, police arrested an injured suspect, identified as Usman, son of Amin. They failed to capture his accomplice. Authorities recovered a weapon and ammunition from Usman, and further investigations are underway to search for the fugitive accomplice.
Meanwhile, a separate clash occurred in Surjani, Lyari 36 area of West District. During routine police patrolling on motorcycles, officers encountered armed suspects. As a result of this encounter, Assistant Sub-Inspector Gulfam Khan sustained a minor gunshot wound to the leg. The suspects fled the scene, and the injured officer was immediately transferred to a medical facility for necessary treatment and documentation.
Law enforcement personnel are actively present at both locations, diligently working to apprehend the fugitives involved in these incidents.
