Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar has termed the resolution of the long and violent tribal conflict between the Jeho and Dahani tribes in Larkana as a historic success of the Sindh Police. The end of the fifteen-year-long conflict, filled with bloodshed and enmity, is being seen as a new example for peace in the region.
In a statement today, the Home Minister attributed this success to the effective strategies and continuous efforts of the Larkana Police, which forced 28 individuals, including fugitives and awardees, to surrender to the authorities. These individuals will now face the judicial process, ensuring the delivery of justice.
The prolonged conflict claimed 25 lives, injured many, and rendered vast agricultural land barren, affecting the lives of three villages. The return of peace and stability in these areas is a great relief for the local communities and a testament to the hard work of the Sindh government and its law enforcement agencies.
Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar emphasized that the actions of the Larkana Police prove the supremacy of the law over violence. This success sends a clear message that no one in the province is beyond the reach of justice, and it is effectively curbing anti-peace activities.
