President of Functional League Sindh Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashdi has said that if constitutional and legal rights are not respected, the fertile lands of Sindh may face the risk of becoming barren. This warning comes as the region grapples with the serious issue of water scarcity, which Rashdi links to the future well-being of coming generations.
Rashdi condemned the recent police actions at the Baberlo protest camp, which included baton charges and arrests, and demanded the immediate recovery of missing girls, including Priya Kumari. He also called for the release of individuals arrested in connection with the protests.
As local elections approach, Functional League is intensifying its organizational efforts across Sindh. The party has been strengthened by the inclusion of Justice (R) Aftab Ghera, Kamran Ghera, and Syed Waliullah Shah along with their associates.
Rashdi criticized both the federal and Sindh governments, accusing them of failing to protect the rights of Sindh’s citizens. He urged the public to unite for their rights as inflation, unemployment, and lack of basic amenities are causing them distress.
He expressed concern over the lack of merit-based employment opportunities for youth instead of justice and highlighted the severe impacts of prolonged electricity and gas outages on public hardships during intense heat.
In a meeting with the political and social figure of Tando Muhammad Khan, Pir Ahmed Saeed Jan Sarhandi, the overall political situation was discussed, including specific issues of Tando Muhammad Khan. Sardar Abdul Rahim and Syed Adil Shah Rashdi were also present in this meeting.
