Relatives of the seriously injured young man protested on the national highway and demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the attack.
Shakeel Lashari, a young Suzuki driver, was seriously injured after being attacked by multiple assailants at Amri Stop Thatta. He is currently fighting for his life in a hospital in Karachi.
Led by Ghafoor Lashari and other members of the Lashari community, the protesters staged a sit-in at Makli Bypass Chowk on the Karachi-Thatta National Highway. The protesters, primarily young residents of Thatta, were expressing their displeasure with the police through slogans and traffic disruption.
The injured’s brother, Ghafoor Lashari, accused individuals from the Brohi community of the unprovoked attack. He criticized the inaction of the Thatta police, stating that despite the seriousness of his brother’s condition, no case has been registered nor anyone arrested.
The protesters are demanding immediate legal action, case registration, and the arrest of those involved to ensure justice for Shakeel Lashari.
