ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister Ahad Cheema was allowed on Friday by an accountability court in Lahore to travel abroad.
Ahad Cheema had filed a petition in the court for permission to travel abroad with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on an official visit to Britain and the United States.
Accountability Court No. 5 Judge Sajid Ali Awan pronounced the verdict, granting permission to Ahad Cheema to travel abroad. Anwar Hussain Advocate appeared before the court on behalf of Ahad Cheema.
Ahad Cheema, as a former director general of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), is an accused in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Society case. An assets beyond means case against him is also pending in court.
