London: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal is in London to conduct a series of high-stakes meetings with British parliamentarians and other key figures. The visit, aimed at enhancing collaboration between Pakistan and the UK, includes discussions on climate change, academic exchanges, finance, and development.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Iqbal visited the Pakistan High Commission in London, where he received a briefing on the operations and activities of the High Commission in the UK. The discussions are set to promote partnerships that could benefit both nations across several critical sectors.
One of the focal points of Iqbal’s visit is the overseas launch of “URAAN Pakistan,” a strategic engagement plan and youth internship program. This initiative is intended to open up opportunities for Pakistani youth and boost the engagement of the diaspora, contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
Iqbal’s agenda includes meetings with senior UK government officials, businessmen, academics, and members of the British-Pakistani community, all aimed at fostering bilateral relations and facilitating future cooperation.
