KARACHI:Airport Gymkhana recorded a convincing nine-wicket victory against Ravi Gymkhana in the All Sindh Prof. Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament here at KCCA Stadium.
Ravi Gymkhana batted first in the match and was bundled out for a paltry total of 100 runs in 22.2 overs. Mansoor Khan bowled lethally and captured three wickets cheaply for four runs while Saddam Amin also picked three wickets for 22 runs.
In response, Airport Gymkhana easily achieved the target in 13.4 overs with nine wickets in hand. Jahanzaib Sultan (52 runs) and Taha Mehmood (31 not out) batted well for the side.
In another match, Dawood Sports defeated Shahi Bagh Cricket Club by five wickets at TMC ground. Nadir Shah took four wickets, Junaid Naeem picked three wickets while Zakir Malik played a brilliant 94-run knock for the winning team in the match.
Meanwhile, Bright Gymkhana overpowered United Gymkhana by six wickets at Landhi Gymkhana Ground. Mudassir Hasan picked three wickets while Umer Mateen scored 96 runs to play pivotal role in Bright Gymkhana victory.
