AJK Tennis Association inducted in the PTF Council

KARACHI: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Tennis Association have been formally inducted, initially as a non-voting member, in the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Council.

 

The AJKTA, and the GB Tennis Association had applied for the membership several months ago, however, in the PTF Council meeting of January 16, 2021, it was decided that the President may form a Scrutiny Committee to seek any further required information and submit its recommendations to the President’s Office. “While the AJKTA complied fully with all requirements, the GBTA has yet to respond with required information,” PTF said.

 

Meanwhile, Salim Saifullah Khan, President-PTF welcomed the induction of AJKTA and lauded the services of President AJKTA Mohammad Farook Sabir and Secretary Muhammad Habib Jarral Secretary for their efforts to organize and establish the AJKTA. “During a short period of time, they have shown tremendous potential and interest to develop and promote the game of tennis all over AJK,” he said.

 

He also assured and extended all possible assistance to the association in their future endeavours. He opined that this will have a very positive impact and convey a very strong message of national unity at all the levels.
