Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, said Thursday that all resources were being utilized to overcome the crises of pure drinking water in Pir Koh, Zain Koh and Sue areas of district Dera Bughti.

These views were expressed by him while talking to Advisor to Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawabzada Guhram Bughti on who made a phone call to him today to bring the issue of dearth of water in different areas of district Dera Bughti into his notice. Chief Minister said that an amount of Rs. 30 crore had been approved for completion of ongoing water supply schemes in district Dera Bughti in order to address the issue of water, adding that directions to the authorities of Planning and Development Department and Finance Department had been issued for authorization of the approved funds and its subsequent release.

He added that the authorities of Health Department had been directed to provide healthcare facilities to the people of water-crises-affected areas so as to protect them from infectious diseases, adding, “Secretary, Health Department and Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, have also been directed to proceed to Dera Bughti and remain there until the water crises issue is resolved”.
