FAISALABAD: An alleged robber was injured during a shootout with the police in Lundiawala area on Tuesday.
A police team signalled two motorcyclists to stop, however, they opened fire at the cops. A crossfire happened between the two sides as a result one of the suspects suffered bullet wound. His accomplice however managed to escape. The injured robber identified as Imtiaz was transported to a local hospital for necessary treatment.
Police said Imtiaz was wanted in several cases. A police team has been dispatched for the arrest of escaped suspect. Meanwhile, four robbers riding two bikes approached several motorists, motorcyclists and pedestrians on Hashim Raza Road in Karachi and deprived them of cash, mobile phones and other valuables.
