Ambassador K. K. Ahsan Wagan presents copies of his Credentials to the Minister, Responsible for Foreign Affairs of Oman

Islamabad, January 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): On 6 January 2019, H.E. Mr. K. K. Ahsan Wagan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman presented a copy of his credentials to H.E Mr. Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman. While receiving the newly arrived Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Alawi stated that Pakistan and Oman enjoy brotherly relations, which are happily existing between the two countries since many centuries. He wished him great success in his tenure at Muscat (Oman).

 

During the meeting, Ambassador Wagan briefed Mr. Alawi about various areas of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries. He informed the Omani Minister that Pakistan and Oman being a maritime neighbours are tied together due to the same culture, language, religion and commonality of views on regional and national fora. He further stated that there is a huge potential of enhancing bilateral trade and commercial relations between the two sides.

 

He assured the Omani Minister that during his tenure of posting, new areas of bilateral cooperation will also be identified for further enhancing, promoting bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries. Ambassador Wagan also conveyed a message of goodwill and greetings on behalf of Pakistani leadership to His Majesty Sultan bin Said Al Said and brotherly people of Oman.
