Ambassador Rizwan Reaffirms govt’s dedication to enhancing PakUS trade

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to enhancing the PakUS trade volume for mutual benefit.

Speaking at a reception hosted by the PakistanAmerican Chambers of Commerce (PACC), Sheikh emphasized the significance of the trade ties, noting that the United States remains Pakistan’s largest export destination, with bilateral trade projected to reach $7.5 billion in 2024.

The event, attended by prominent members of the PakistaniAmerican business community, also featured Consul General Asim Ali Khan and the Trade and Investment Counsellor. The Ambassador highlighted Pakistan’s investment environment, characterized by competitive incentives and a young workforce, urging American businesses to explore opportunities in sectors like IT, agriculture, and renewable energy.

Sheikh spotlighted the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s role in streamlining investment processes and fostering publicprivate partnerships. Discussions also centered on enhancing diasporaled entrepreneurship and improving access to U.S. markets.

In his address, Consul General Khan acknowledged the PACC leadership’s efforts in strengthening business ties between the two nations.
