Annual Sports Day observed in Bakhtwar Model High School, Naundero

NAUNDERO: Bakhtwar Model High School, Naundero celebrated the third annual sports day in which male, female students, their parents and teachers participated in various sports in large numbers here on Tuesday.

On that occasion, male and female students were divided into 4 teams with the names of Iqbal Yellow, Jinnah Green, Sachal Red and Balu Latif, and the male and female students from each team competed in karate, while the race of 120 and 400 meters running was held. Various sports competitions including long jumping, 3-leg race, drill were conducted out of which Iqbal Yellow players won the most competitions and won the title of champion of Sports Gala Day for one year. The second position was won by Jinnah Green and the third position by Sachal Red and Balu Latif.

Abid Lashari, the principal of the school, speaking at the event, said that the school management has done a great job in organizing healthy activities for children, in which hundreds of students have participated. Muhammad Atiq Soomro, Principal of Government Boys Degree College, said that this is a program that encourages children and the children who perform here can be great players of the future who will brighten the name of their country and nation at the national and international level.

Retired professor Ghulam Hussain Katpar said that a healthy society can only be possible if children are encouraged in education as well as in the field of sports so that they can move forward. Taluk Education Officer Khalil Bhutto said that the students should be given the opportunity to play sports and those who show the best performance should be given opportunities to advance. Children’s talent is very gratifying to see how talented our boys and girls are who need more learning and encouragement to take them further. On the sports day, the guests gave certificates of recognition to the winning students and the winning trophy to the winning team of Iqbal Yellow.
