Anti-Encroachment operations 

Islamabad, January 18, 2023 (PPI-OT):On the instructions of Chairman CDA Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman Yunus, DG Enforcement today directed Deputy Director Operations Dr. Beenish to write off GT Road Rawat with NHA under her supervision. Action should be taken against encroachment on the road. In the light of the orders, operations were carried out in G-9, I-11 and other areas of Islamabad including GT Road Rawat and 4 truckloads of goods were seized.

According to the details, the anti-encroachment staff supported NHA today and started the operation from GT Road Rawat T Chowk. On both sides, GT Road is about 5 km long, in which 18 marble pillars, 8 brick signboards, 38 walls, 14 illegal parking lots, 20 iron fences, 4 and 7 billboards, and 5 culverts have been erected on the right-of-way of the road using heavy machinery. Apart from this, while taking action against encroachment in the timber market in Sector I-11/3, 1 truckload of goods was seized. Also, building control under Islamabad Residential Regulation 2005 sealed a house number 950 in street number 90 of sector G-9/4 which was being used for commercial activities.

Similarly, another operation was carried out under the Building Bylaws in Sector F-10 where an illegal room and washroom on the upper roof of a commercial building was demolished. An operation was also conducted in Sector G-10/3 where a shop which was established within the premises of the mosque and was being used for commercial purpose was raided.
