APDP protests in Srinagar against enforced disappearances

Srinagar, June 10, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, scores of men and women associated with Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) on Monday staged a sit-in protest at Partap Park in Srinagar demanding justice for the disappeared family members.

The protesters mostly elderly persons holding banners and placards demanded the whereabouts of their kith and kin who were subjected to enforced disappearances in Kashmir since 1989. The family members of the disappeared youth castigated the authorities for being indifferent to their pain and agony.

Blaming the Indian forces for all the destruction in Kashmir, Parveena Ahanger, the founding Chairperson of APDP, said that all the powers given to forces under draconian laws should be removed. “{Nobody is listening to us, we neither want money nor any sympathy, bring our beloved ones back that’s it,” Ahanger demanded.
