In a meeting of the Medical Board chaired by Secretary Zakat and Ushr, Irshad Ahmad Qureshi, an approval of 8 million rupees was granted for the treatment of deserving patients. The meeting reviewed 17 cases and decided to provide financial assistance for patients suffering from various diseases.

According to a statement from the Press Information Department of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 5.376 million rupees were approved for 10 patients suffering from heart diseases, 1.676 million rupees for 5 patients with cancer, and 1 million rupees for 2 patients with other critical illnesses. Overall, orders have been issued to pay 8.052 million rupees to relevant hospitals outside Azad Kashmir within a day for the treatment of 17 patients.

This initiative indicates that the Department of Zakat and Ushr is taking serious steps for the treatment of deserving patients. This financial assistance will prove to be a significant support for patients who cannot afford medical treatment.
