Muhammad Asim Khan has secured his place in the 2026 PSA World Championship after a hard-fought victory in the final of the Asia Qualifying Event. The Pakistani player secured his entry into the prestigious tournament by winning a tough five-game match.
Khan, the tournament”s second seed, overcame eighth-seeded Joachim Chuah of Malaysia in a contest that lasted 82 minutes. The final score was 11-3, 13-11, 9-11, 3-11, 12-10 in favour of the Pakistani player.
With this victory, Khan joins two of his compatriots, Noor Zaman and M Ashab Irfan, who had already qualified for the championship based on their high world rankings.
The PSA World Championships are scheduled to take place in Giza, Egypt, from 8-16 May 2026. The premier squash competition will feature a total prize purse of $700,000 USD.
